  • British BMG Federation Summer School Weekends

    2014 Summer School will take place 20th – 22nd June at Knuston Hall, Irchester, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Tutors will be Elias Sibley (classic banjo), Travis Finch (classical mandolin & guitar), Nigel Gatherer (mixed instrument Celtic music), Gaio de Lima (mixed instrument Brazilian Choro). Details available autumn 2013
    The 2013 Summer School took place at Halsway Manor in Somerset. A review will follow soon.
     
  • British BMG Federation Youth Fund

    The Youth Fund is made up of donations from BMG Federation members and grants are made for the benefit of young fretted instrumentalists who are BMG Federation members under 18 years of age, or for a project run by an adult BMG Federation member to benefit one or more fretted instrumentalists under 18 years of age.
  • BMG Festival & Rally 2014
    BMG Rally 2014 was held March 14th – 16th at St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School, Bristol.

  • British BMG Federation Symposium

    The first Symposium weekend was held October 2013 in Cambridgeshire with key speakers Dr Stefanie Rauch, musicologist from Germany, and Paul Sparks, author of ‘The Classical Mandolin’. Fretted instrument workshops included teaching, arranging, literature and microjazz.
